Following on a very successful first collaborative scientific conference on Intensive Care Medicine in 2011, the ANZICS (Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society), and the Society of Intensive Care Medicine (Singapore) are collaborating again to jointly organise the next SG-ANZICS Intensive Care Forum in 2013. The aim for this biennial forum is to provide a good platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience among Intensivists, Anaesthesiologists, Respiratory Physicians, Critical Care Nurses and Allied Health Professionals involved in Intensive Care.
We are excited that renowned and inspiring experts from the American, European and Asian Continents have committed to participate in the Forum’s Scientific Program, alongside their counterparts from Australia and Singapore. While a big turnout of delegates from Australia, New Zealand and Singapore will be expected, we are extending our invitation to Intensive Care clinicians worldwide, with special focus on the Asia-Pacific and South Asian region.
The theme of this Conference is “ Intensive Care in Asia, Opportunities and Challenges”, which will focus on the many new challenges that professionals involved in Intensive Care, face in the everyday practice, and the opportunities present that, comes with the increasingly diverse roles that critical care practitioners play in the hospital setting.
